A. Weather Related Building Closing:
Fishers UMC makes its weekday closing decisions based on those of the Hamilton Southeastern (HSE) School System.
Weekend closing decisions are made by the pastoral staff by 7:30am and again at 1:30pm.
B. Specific Policy Information:
Monday-Friday:
1. 2 Hour Delay: If HSE has a 2-hour delay =
Fishers UMC will be closed until 10am. No groups may enter the building prior to 10am.
2. School Closed: If HSE closes school for the day =
Fishers UMC closes for the day. ALL AM & PM events at Fishers UMC are cancelled.
3. Early Dismissal: If HSE Dismisses students early or cancels evening activities due to a Weather-Related Issue =
Fishers UMC has NO evening events starting after 4pm.
4. Evening Activities: If HSE cancels evening/after-school activities =
Fishers UMC has NO evening activities starting after 4pm.
5. School Vacation: If HSE Schools are on Vacation =
The Fishers UMC pastoral staff will make closing decisions by 7:30am in the morning and again at 1:30pm in the afternoon.
Saturday & Sunday:
Closing decisions will be made by 7:30am in the morning and again at 1:30pm in the afternoon.
Closing information will be communicated as listed below.
C. Communication:
1. Television: Watch WTHR - Channel 13, WISH- Channel 8, or WRTV – Channel 6.
